Are you convinced that there must be more than this?

Updated: Dec 11, 2018

Have you ever stopped yourself in the middle of your work day and thought, there must be more than this?

Have you ever been 6 episodes deep into a Netflix series wondering what you do with all your time?

Have you ever opened Instagram to look at a specific post and 2 hours later, you’ve seen 50 cutting soap videos and stalked 5 people who you haven’t talked to in years?

Before everything we could have ever wanted was at our fingertips, people used the hours in a day to build a life for themselves; for their happiness.

Today, life is already built for us. Graduate high school, go to college, get a good 9-5 job, pay up the wazoo to rent an apartment in the city, stand on the train squished like a sardine to get to work, sit at your desk and do what your told, countdown the hours, minutes, seconds, until you can leave, go home, order food, watch netflix, just to wake up and do it all over again… for 40 years. There MUST be more to this thing called l i f e.

Where is the passion and the hunger for your story and your purpose? We are programed to want the next step and build the next bridge to get to where we believe we should be.

If you ask me, it’s because it is too hard. We don’t push ourselves to do what we want because we don’t enjoy the journey that will get us where we want to go. We were taught what to think.

I.e. getting good grades will get us into a good college→

→ going to a good college will get us a good job→

→ getting a good job will give us a good life.

We were taught what to think but never how to think. With all of these options in this a m a z i n g, i n c r e d i b l e & b e a u t i f u l life, we need a thought process that will promote all the options; not just the life our parents knew to be successful.

We need to ask ourselves:

What are my strengths and how can they be used to help other people and make money?

Where do i need to learn the skills to do this kind of job?

Will this make my life meaningful?
